An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
